Minneapolis, MN — Nov. 21, 2011 — The Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) has named Calabrio the winner of the 2011 Tekne Award in the Software – Small and Growing Company category.  The Tekne Awards honor companies and individuals who play a significant role in developing new technologies that positively impact the lives and futures of people living around the world.

Calabrio, located in Plymouth, Minn., has an ambitious goal – to provide the contact center customer service industry with a better option for workforce optimization software by eliminating the implementation and ownership challenges facing enterprises of all sizes. The latest Calabrio ONE® suite features a new Web 2.0-based user experience designed to simplify daily use and configurability for dynamic contact centers. Calabrio ONE draws on the proven techniques of the social web to deliver a suite of applications that helps contact centers staff, evaluate and measure performance effectively by providing personalized views for each type of user.

The company has sustained growth in excess of 20 percent over the past three years due to its technological innovation, aggressive sales and marketing efforts, and relationships with industry leaders Cisco and Avaya.

“We are honored to receive this award for creating intuitive applications that make it easier for contact center professionals to provide better service to their customers,” said Tom Goodmanson, president and CEO at Calabrio.  “This award is a testament to the hard work of the Calabrio team to advance workforce optimization to offer our customers the advantages of a modern toolset that takes advantage of the speed, flexibility and mobility of the web.”
