Minneapolis, MN — Calabrio, Inc., a leading provider of customer interaction and contact center management software, announced today that Brett Theisen has been named vice president of sales to head Calabrio’s expanding sales organization. Formerly director of sales for Nortel Networks, Theisen will be responsible for building and managing the organization that provides direct support for solution consulting and sales to Calabrio channel partners and customers.
Theisen reports to Calabrio’s vice president of worldwide channels, Ralph Flamini, who is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Calabrio partner network. Theisen will pursue activities that are more directly focused on sales and customer relationships established through that partner network.
“Under Ralph’s leadership, Calabrio recently retooled our channel sales organization to provide more dedicated resources to support the success of our channel partners and customers,” said Tom Goodmanson, Calabrio chief executive officer and president. “I know Brett to have the skills and experience Calabrio needs to rapidly grow and develop our sales organization as we scale our business, and his proven sales management discipline will continue to carry us forward as we work with our partners to deliver valuable software solutions to our customers.”
Theisen brings more than 10 years of sales and leadership experience in the telecommunications and software industries. Prior to joining Nortel Networks, he was vice president of sales at Gelco Information Network, a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) business, which was acquired by Concur Technologies. At Gelco, Theisen was instrumental in hiring and managing an international sales force that grew from $18 million to $45 million in revenue during his tenure. Brett has also held various sales management roles at Norstan Communications, a communications systems reseller and integrator company acquired by Black Box.
Calabrio has recently added a number of new sales and sales support positions, attracting professionals with sales experience ranging from contact center infrastructure to software suite solutions within the industry.
