It’s that time of year again: Customer Service Week! This year, Customer Service Week is being celebrated October 7-11, and the ways companies celebrate this auspicious occasion are as varied as the companies themselves. That’s why we decided to query a few customers to find out how they honor the great work their agents and contact centre teams do day in and day out.
Here’s what our customers had to say.
A Crowd Favorite: Free Food
“Our management team plans a pizza party and personally serves ice cream to agents to thank them for their hard work.”
Kay Lau, QA Officer, General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT)
Special Activities
“We do monthly and quarterly employee recognition, from ‘Rock Star of the Month’ to ‘Top 5% of AIM’ scores. We usually have cake and celebrate in the break room. We try to celebrate throughout the year, and also hold an annual gathering at either the beach or the local zoo.”
Nicole Price, Customer Experience Manager, Radial, a bpost company
Games, Prizes and Giveaways
“One week is honestly not enough time to let our agents know how much they mean to us! Every day, they go above and beyond for our customers, but this is our way of making sure they know they matter to us!”
Jaslyne Dolak, Data and Analytics Specialist, Erie Insurance
Recognition Programmes
“Celebrating their work and reminding them that they are a crucial part of our organisation—and the energy they put into their work—is what makes our organisation one of the best hospital networks in the nation.”
Daniel Acosta, Call Centre Applications Analyst III, Houston Methodist
Whether you offer these activities only to your contact centre teams or extend them to the entire organisation, this list will help you jumpstart your own Customer Service Week celebration or freshen up your existing festivities. Happy Customer Service Week!
